These are flexible overlay trim pieces installed with 3M adhesive. If your Grand Cherokee has damaged or deterioated wood trim, our trim pieces may be used as an economical repair to cover over the damage as long as the surface is sound. Sanding and cleaning with Isopropryl Rubbing Alcohol is recommended for a permanent repair. Regarding pieces 1, 2 & 3 in this trim kit, please note this trim will not completely cover the OEM factory finish and you will still see a small amount of factory finish around the edges - about 1/16" to 1/8". You can use a black marker to cover the small amount of factory finish still visible
